Our company is currently looking for an experienced Office Administrator to join our team. We are a fast growing technology research company and are looking for some to help provide a broad set of administrative and operational support to the company and senior team.
We are a Portland, OR based research company and think tank that studies cryptoeconomics (Bitcoin and related technologies). We are a small company (< 15 people), but we are growing rapidly and working the startup life. It’s a fast-paced environment where things change quickly. This role would involve working alongside a set of researchers, data scientists, engineers and designers to help ensure smooth company operations. Our company values independence and integrity and we all feel lucky to spend our days studying some of the most exciting technologies in the world. Knowledge of Bitcoin and related technologies is not required, but a passion for learning is necessary.
We strongly believe that people should be passionate about their work, and this role is no exception. We are looking for someone that takes pride and ownership over creating an environment where people feel comfortable, happy and have what they need to do their best work.
Responsibilities would include general administrative support, clerical duties including filing, answering phone calls, responding to emails, helping to track and coordinate project deliverables and invoices, helping to ensure the office is functioning well and in good order, keeping supplies stocked, and ensuring maintenance and services. Additionally the Office Administrator would assist senior team members however possible, including managing agendas, arranging travel, assisting with events, running errands and performing other logistics to help them stay focused.
We are a small company that’s moving quickly. Everyone wears a lot of hats. We are looking for someone excited to be part of building something and can proactively take on the variety of tasks necessary to ensure a functioning office where every has the support and resources they need to work efficiently.
Experience in an office administration or operational role.
High level of confidence and familiarity with computers, modern office programs (Google Docs, Office, Adobe PDF, Scanners, calendaring and invoicing systems, email, etc.)
Exceptional attention to detail.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Passion for learning.
